Dealing with natural organic products can be a little frustrating sometimes. It is well-known that organic ingredient composition may be a little deceiving in terms of performances. Generally organic shampoo’s surfactants are milder than others, in a way this i a good thing because hey don’t strip moisture out of your hair but, on the other hand, they may be a little deceiving if you need for a deep hair wash to remove product buildups or pre-poo oil treatments.

The quest for the Holy Grail organic shampoo can be a though challenge, from my experience I discovered some little tricks to improve the performance of shampoos when from time to time I need a serious hair cleanse.

You can improve your organic shampoo by adding one of these 3 ingredients:

Baking Soda a.k.a Sodium Bicarbonate: BS have physical and chemical cleaning proprieties, that’s why a lot of people use just Baking soda for washing their hair. Personally I’m not fan of the BS + Apple Cider Vinegar method but i like to add a tbs to improve the cleaning proprieties of my shampoo to make it more clarifying and it works pretty well

Sea Salt: you know the notorious Lush sea salt shampoo?! yes you can easily replicate the same effect at home by adding some sea salt to your organic shampoo, this it’s even better tha lush because it’s free of sulfates. SS brings extreme volume to the hair and also deeply cleans the scalp. It’s not suitable for daily use because constant use SS may dry out hair.

Maroccan caly a.k.a. Rhassoul clay: it is well-known for its cleansing proprieties and it’s often use on its own  as a hair mask to gently wash the hair without chemical detergents. You can also add a little quantity of clay to the single dose of your regular shampoo, this is 100% tried end tested, in fact  you can find on the market Rhassoul organic liquid shampoo or bars. Rhassoul it is also a good natura solution to volumize fine hair
